After taking a breather in 2020 to celebrate 10 years of business development success, The Entrepreneur 2021 Competition has launched! We are looking for entrepreneurs and SMME owners that wish to get their small businesses off the runway.

The iLembe Chamber’s The Entrepreneur is a business accelerator programme that aims to find entrepreneurial gems in the iLembe District, and develop and support them to sustainable levels of growth. The Entrepreneur is an accredited UKZN Graduate School of Business and Leadership Short Course.
The programme partners are ACSA KSIA, Enterprise iLembe, Engie Peakers Operations, Siza Water and the North Coast Courier. The academic partner is UKZN’s Graduate School of Business and Leadership.
The Entrepreneur 2021 timeline (subject to confirmation):
16 July – Competition entries close
31 July – Programme commences
11 October – Business plans to be submitted
29 October – Final Event
Check in, if:
o Your business is located in the iLembe District;
o Your business has been operational for 12 months or more,
o You as the business owner is permanently involved and
o Your business has a turnover of less than R6 million p/a.
