Our next The Entrepreneur 2016 finalist, Thamisanqa Gcaba, believes that he was born to be an entrepreneur. As a small boy, Thamisanqa joined his gogoon the side of the road selling baked goods to construction workers. He believes that this is where his entrepreneurial spirit was ignited. In 2012, after his beloved grandmother passed away, Thamisanqa felt that the obvious thing to do with the inheritance left to him by his gran was to invest it in his new business, Thembela Farming Projects. He has never looked back.
In 2014 he started planting vegetables, amongst others cabbage and spinach, in Groutville. He supplies three main clients including Enterprise iLembe.
